Engr. Raymond D. Carreon, OIC Chief of Mine Management Division (MMD) and Engr. Geoffrey V. Prado, Supervising Science Research Specialist (SRS) discussed the mining policies, rules and regulations on apprehension, documentation, investigation, and report writing procedure.

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan—The Mines and Geosciences Bureau regional office here has clarified the continued operation of an Australian-Canadian miner in Nueva Vizcaya is “in accordance with the law.”
MGB Region 2 Director Mario Ancheta has reacted to misconceptions of some local government officials in Cagayan Valley questioning the continued transport of concentrated ore by the OceanaGold to Poro Point in La Union province.
With the effort of the bureau to properly implement the MGB Network layout, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Central Office convened the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Focal Persons from its Regional Offices last January 13, 2017 held at MGB Central Office, North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.
The coordination meeting was conducted to systematically plan the schedule of the contractor, and to finalize the proposed network layout of the various offices.

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. II (MGB ROII) recently conducted a regional programming workshop for the implementation of the 2017 Work and Financial Plan of the Office held at MGB Conference Hall last January 9-10, 2017.
The programming workshop aimed to prepare the technical staff as well as the support staff of the bureau on the implementation of their targets for 2017 before the bureau starts its activities for the year
With the theme:”Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation for the Mining Sector of the Philippines”, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau and the technical division chiefs from its Regional Offices participated in the seminar spearheaded by the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) held last January 23, 2017 at New World Hotel, Makati.
JOGMEC is a Japan-based company on minerals and energy that was established last 2004 to assure a stable supply of oil, natural gas, mineral resources, coal and geothermal energy of Japan and the Philippines.
