FCF Minerals relief operations reach 25, 000 recipients

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- FCF Minerals Corporation’s Gold Molybdenum Project in Brgy. Runruno, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya has donated a total of P 6, 889, 763.09 benefitting approximately 25, 000 recipients.

The company’s assistance was extended not only to the impacted communities, but also to the non-impacted communities within the Provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and the adjoining Province of Quirino particularly in the Municipality of Diffun and the Provincial Local Government of Quirino.

Medical supplies such as full suits, KN95 masks, surgical masks, and nitrle gloves were donated to the Provincial Health of Nueva Vizcaya.

The Municipality of Diffun, Quirino likewise received alcohol, surgical masks, and thermal scanners from the company.

The donated items are comprised of health and medical supplies as well as food relief operations.

The relief operation is pursuant to the memorandum from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Director authorizing all regional offices to allow mining companies to realign their total unspent 2019 SDMP budget to help the affected impact and non-impact brought about by the COVID-19 global pandemic. - Lyndee Rose S. OceanaGold continues to provide protective kits for frontline workers

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- OceanaGold Philippines Incorporated in Didipio, Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya continues to provide assistance to our front liners in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic through its realigned 2019 Annual Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).

The mining company handed over 5,000 pieces of surgical masks and 20 gallons of alcohol to Local Government Unit of Quirino while 75 pieces of protective cover all, 3,000 pieces of latex disposable gloves and of gallons alcohol to Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), N95 and surgical masks, nitrile disposable gloves, and gallons of alcohol were likewise provided to Southern Isabela Medical Center and Cagayan Valley Medical Center.

Surgical masks and gallons of alcohol were also donated to Department of Health Region 02, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 02, and Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 02.

OceanaGold also donated 1,000 pieces of surgical masks, 60 boxes of vitamins, 5 gallons of alcohol, and 1,000 liters of chlorine for disinfection to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Ruhal Health Unit of Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya.

Additional PPEs and other protective kits will be distributed to the identified beneficiaries in the Provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ifugao, Isabela, Cagayan, and Kalinga.

OceanaGold spent a total of Php7.9 million for the purchase and distribution of relief goods and protective kits to the target beneficiaries.

Dinapigue Mining Corporation joins ‘bayanihan’ efforts vs. COVID 19

The Dinapigue Mining Corporation (DMC), a subsidiary of Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) based in Dinapigue, Isabela provided relief assistance to four of its stakeholder communities through its realigned 2019 Annual Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).

The company realigned a total of Php 2,676,906 from its unspent SDMP funds from the previous year to purchase rice, canned goods, and medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontliners and impact barangays despite challenges in transporting goods due to travel restrictions as a result of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

DMC distributed 235 sacks of rice among 788 households in barangays Dimaluade, Bucal Norte, Bucal Sur, and Dibulo.

Moreover, DMC also provided relief goods and medicine worth Php 56,000 from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for the indigenous peoples of Dinapigue.

FCF Minerals supports ‘Bayanihan to heal as one Act’

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- In support to the Republic Act No. 11469, otherwise known as Bayanihan to heal as one Act, FCF Minerals Corporation Gold- Molybdenum Project in Runruno, Nueva Vizcaya initiated coordination with provincial, municipal, and barangay local government units in Nueva Vizcaya to extend coronavirus assistance through distribution of food packs, medicines, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

This is in line to the memorandum of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau to use unutilized funds of the Social Development and Management Programs (SDMPs) of the mining companies to support affected impact and non-impact communities due to COVID-19.  

The company was able to donate 2, 500 masks and 25 gallons of alcohol to the province of Nueva Vizcaya while Quezon Municipality Health Office received 20 pieces Tyvek suits and goggles. The company also distributed 50 sacks of rice to the local government of Quezon.

Further, FCF Minerals will purchase more PPEs which will be distributed to government agencies mandated to battle the coronavirus disease.
