Dinapigue mine distributes relief goods to stakeholders
Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- The Dinapigue Mining Corporation, a nickel project in Dinapigue, Isabela distributed relief goods to its stakeholders who are affected during the community quarantine.
A total of 101 families in barangay Bucal Norte in Dinapigue, Isabela received blue marlin fish and pork meat as part of its relief assistance through the 2019 realigned Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) of the company.
The company likewise distributed assorted grocery items to over 200 families from Brgy. Bucal Sur while 358 families from Brgy. Dibulo in Dinapigue, Isabela received rice and grocery items.
Meanwhile, DMC also provided medicines and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the Dinapigue Rural Health Unit (RHU).
“ Sobrang grateful ko at ng Dinapigue Community Hospital para sa mga private companies tulad ng Dinapigue Mining Corporation sa kanilang tulong. Sa panahong pandemic na kinakaharap natin, yung mga maliit na tulong, sobrang Malaking bagay para sa mga hospital,” Dr. Frendel Vallejo, Dinapigue Community Hospital said.
“ Malaki ang kanilang tulong hindi lang para sa hospital pero pati sa mamamayan ng Dinapigue,” he added.
The relief operation is pursuant to the memorandum from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Director authorizing all regional offices to allow mining companies to realign their total unspent 2019 SDMP budget to help the affected impact and non-impact communities brought about by the COVID-19 global pandemic. – Lyndee Rose Basilio with reports from DMC
