Mines Bureau holds pre-qualifying exams

 To continue its hiring and promotion process, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Central Office together with MGB R02 conducted a pre-qualifying examinations for its applicants held on April 24, 2017.

The examinations consisted of General Aptitude Test (GAT), Job Knowledge Test (JKT), and Ethics Oriented Personality Test (EOPT).

The new entrants to the government took the GAT, JKT and EOPT while those permanent employees only took the JKT and EOPT.

After the examination, applicant’s examination results will be deliberated by the Personnel Selection Board which compose of the Regional Director (RD) and its division chiefs, and the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person.

The deliberation process will be followed by a panel interview. After the conduct of interview, the comprehensive evaluation report of the candidates will be screened for consideration of the appointing authority.

The Regional Director as the appointing authority shall assess the merit and fitness among the top five ranking applicants qualified for appointment to the position.

Twelve applicants including the five new entrants and seven MGB permanent employees took the examinations.
